This is a pristine condition Yanagisawa TWO2 bronze series tenor sax in factory silver plate, serial number 00408361. The silver plated version of this tenor is only available via special order and you don't see them very often. This is a one-owner horn and it has been meticulously well cared for in its short life so far.
This tenor is in nearly immaculate shape. There may be a stray cosmetic surface scratch here or there if you look close, but it is about as clean as they get. No finish wear to the original silver plating, and it goes without saying, but no dents or dings or previous damages/repairs. Everything looks great, including the original neck. Pads are still in like-new condition with no noticeable playing wear, and the sax did previously receive a full pro set up from Erik Drake at Saxology. It ships in tip-top playing shape.
Yani's TWO2 series tends to be a bit livelier, while the bronze makeup adds warmth and color. When you mix in the depth that comes from being silver plated, you have a unique sounding tenor that is a cut above the rest. Definitely a very dark sounding horn, with a strong response and good tonal balance. It comes in its original case, which has had the backpack straps removed but is otherwise also in new condition.
