This is a vintage C.G. Conn New Wonder series curved soprano sax in original silver plate, serial number 45784. This horn is an old one, dating all the way back to 1918. However, unlike a lot of sopranos from that era, this one does feature keywork to high F. Currently playing as-is on “ok” pads, it can be had for a good price if you are wanting to add a curved soprano to your repertoire.
Physically, this soprano is in extremely nice condition. There is minor finish wear to the original silver plating on a couple touch points and keys, but overall it is still in the 95%+ condition, showing minor tarnish currently which can be polished during your next adjustment. There are no dents or dings, no resolders or prior repairs. Pads aren't all that old, but honestly not a great pad job, and the action doesn't feel fluid under your hands. Even so, the pads are sealing for the most part, so you can get by. You may want to spring for a good pro set up at some point in the future. We are selling it as-is.
I found this horn to play with a definitive warmer sound and is definitely spread. There are a couple minor leaks but I was able to blow through it. I think a good regulation would go a long way. Ships in its original hard case.
